UNASHIG's Share Price and Market Capitalization of Holdings Quoted on the Nairobi Securities Exchange _ June 27th to July 1st 2022

Share Price and Market Capitalization at the Close of Specified Days of the Week [Abridged]

Friday, July 1st, 2022.

On the whole, NSE metrics made further gains during the week ending. However, CBshare's 0.28% gain at today's close (with an improved price per share of KES1,869.22, or US$15.87 at the forex rate of KES117.87 per US$) did not help it avoid a decline from third to fourth place out of five. Plainly, CBshare is not getting enough material support from its 248 holders!

Here is Friday's ranking of the metrics

1. NSE 20 Index: +0.62%
2. NSE 25 Index: +0.45%
3. NASI (NSE All-Share Index): +0.38%
4. CBshare price: +0.28%
5. FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: 0.00%.

Unashig's market capitalization expanded 0.28%, to close at KES6,236,866.50 (or US$52,944.54).

Week-on-Week data shown below suggest both the broad and respective gains being made locally, and, more importantly, seem to signal a recovery mode of sorts. However, skeptics would argue that this is more apparent than real at this juncture, in view of the state of flux that continues to be reported around the globe and, in particular, in leading stock markets domiciled far from Nairobi. Here are the latest W-oW data:
1. NSE 25 Index: +7.20%
2. FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: +7.13%
3. NASI (NSE All-Share Index): +6.60%
4. CBshare price (25 counters): +4.96%*
5. NSE 20 Index: +3.15%.

YTD stats suggest that the price of a CBshare is still 18.69% below where it was on December 31st 2021. Similarly, market capitalization is 17.02% down.

Regardless of all that, however, it remains true that erasing those losses can occur fairly quickly with a spirited focus on the part of investors and policymakers and implementers -- and with proper and dedicated macroeconomic management at the national and even county levels.

2. FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: -0.34%

SHAREHOLDERS ARE REMINDED THAT: Share trading is not Unashig's core business, but it is an important aspect of an enterprise such as ours. Unashig is a limited liability company registered under Kenya's Companies Act. It is wholly owned by its registered shareholders, currently numbering 248. Investing the amounts generated through the periodic sale of issued CBshares in dividend/income-generating ventures is a prudent and indeed surer way of growing the company. Surer, certainly, than spending it on routine office activities.

The average number of CBshares held per shareholder remains very low, however. This is not conducive to rapid capital/asset growth, or the generation of substantial and distributable dividend income. For over 12 months, the value of our CBshare has proven that Unashig's investment decisions continue to be competitive with, and quite frequently superior to, those pegged on the trajectory of any or often all of the four leading NSE indices.
