Outline of a Research Proposal ~ CSO 302, CSO 501

In 2005-2006 I prepared a one-page "Outline of a Research Proposal" to crystallize my thoughts on "doing proposals". I have frequently referred students to it, and sometimes even distributed it as a handout. A few years ago I made it available online, but in a way that has proven rather difficult to access via this blog. So here below is an easier way:

Click here to access "Outline of a Research Proposal"

P.S: A number of key ideas captured in the outline are expanded upon in my paper titled Elements of Proposal Writing, which one may also want to read as an essential "companion" to the outline.

Social Engineering Texts [Note that the Sociologist’s understanding and usage of  the term social engineering is contrary to the misleading usages/definitions of the  terms – usages perhaps based on extreme interpretation or implementation of the idea of “psychological manipulation” – that have in the last five or so clogged the Google search engine. I have in mind terms such as: phishing, confidence trick/trickster, pretexting, ‘diversion theft’, computer/information security, ‘forced’ system access (or break-in or hacking), fraud and deception.
