CBshare closed 1.00% higher today, valued at KES 2,542.64 (or US$ 23.08, at the still falling forex rate of KES 110.15 per USD). No quoted shares were added to Unashig's portfolio. The number of CA and CBshares outstanding, held by 234 shareholders in total, also remained steady at 3,218.11.
The positive performance displayed in the price of a CBshare was seen among our usual bunch of NSE indices as well, nearly all of which in fact outpaced it. Here is how they ranked at the week's end:
2) NSE 25 Index: Up 1.25%
3) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Up 1.24%
4) CBshare Price: Up 1.00%*
5) NSE 20 Index: Up 0.47%.
On a WoW (Week on Week) basis, each of the five indicators maintained the same ranking as recorded for today's close. Thus: 1) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index -- up 1.86%; 2) NSE 25 Index -- up 1.67%; 3) NASI -- up 1.45%; 4) CBshare price -- up 1.06%; 5) NSE 20 Index -- down 0.10%.
YTD, the price of a CBshare has climbed to the 24.49% point on the growth curve; which is a little higher than we saw yesterday.

Unashig's market capitalization climbed 1.03% to close the day at KES 8,185,038.00 (or US$ 74,308.11), thus signaling a return to levels not seen since late last month.
YTD, market capitalization has made a 47.21% gain. Since December 31st, 2019, it has risen even higher on the curve to the 382.50% mark. This way, the 400% milestone is increasingly in sight. Still, we have this nagging question: will we have reached it by year's end?
IMPORTANT NOTE: The price of a CBshare will hold at KES 2,542.64 (US$ 23.08) -- plus statutory and brokerage charges approximating 2.23% over-and-above the direct cost of CBshares bought at a given time -- until 5:00 PM (GMT+3) on Monday, September 20th. A new price will be released, after some 'mining', early or later that night.
