Friday, June 25th, 2021: Unashig Share Price and Market Capitalization at the Close of Trading Day.
The CBshare ended the week on a positive note, its price closing 0.10% higher than we saw yesterday, and settling at KES 2,381.32 (or US$ 22.10, at the forex rate of US$1: KES 107.75). However, with a 0.47% gain for the day, the NSE 20 index reached noticeably higher than the CBshare -- which in turn stayed above the NASI index (which closed only 0.01% higher than the previous day). YTD (Year-to-Date), the CBshare price has gained 16.59% in value.
Unashig's market capitalization had a 0.10% gain today, settling at KES 7,292,454.50 (or US$ 67,679.39). YTD, it has grown by 31.16%. And since December 31st, 2019, it has accumulated a 329.88% growth.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The unit price of a CBshare will hold at KES 2,381.32 (or US$ 22.10) -- plus the brokerage and statutory charges indicted in the Unashig Share Pricing Formula-- until next Monday, June 28th, after (a) NSE releases the final Equity Price List at around 4:30 PM; and, (b) Unashig subsequently 'mines' (i.e. processes) both the newly released stats and other relevant data necessary to arrive at a new price. The indicated charges add approximately 2.4% to the direct cost of the shares bought.
Thursday, June 24th, 2021: Unashig Share Price and Market Capitalization at the Close of Trading Day.
The price of a CBshare closed in positive territory, scoring a 0.46% gain above yesterday's level. It settled at KES 2,378.85 (or US$ 22.09, at the forex rate of US$1:KES107.70). Unashig therefore 'outfoxed' the two NSE indices which it tracks, and which track price trends at the bourse. The two indexes closed the day as follows: NASI (+0.40%) and NSE 20 (-0.44%) (ref. Dyer & Blair). YTD, the price of a CBshare has grown by 16.47%, even as the total of outstanding shares has lately stayed put at 3,062.26.
The company's market capitalization recorded a 0.46% gain today as well, and closed at KES 7,284,859.00 (or US$ 67,640.29). It has grown by 31.02% since the beginning of this year, and by 329.43% since December 31st, 2019. We will soon return to the 330%-level, and go beyond.
Wednesday, June 23rd, 2021: Unashig Share Price and Market Capitalization at the Close of Trading Day.
The CBshare price dipped 0.62% below yesterday's closing number, ending the day at KES 2,368.03 (or US$ 21.98, at a lower forex rate of US$1:KES 107.73). It was therefore outshone by the two indices which we track (even though neither escaped negative territory), namely: NSE 20 (-0.01%) and NASI (-0.0.37%) (ref. Nairobi Securities Exchange). YTD, it has registered a 15.94% lift. The number of outstanding CBshares was unchanged at 3,062.26.
Market capitalization also closed 0.62% lower, ending the day at KES 7,251,756.50 (US$ 67,314.18). YTD, it has risen by 30.42%. Since December 31st, 2019 it has expanded by 327.48%.
Tuesday, June 22nd, 2021: Unashig Share Price and Market Capitalization at the Close of Trading Day.
Today's share price closed 0.55% higher than Monday's final level, settling at KES 2,382.83 (or US$22.10, at the unchanged forex rate of US$1:KES107.80). Indeed, it markedly outperformed two familiar indices at the NSE, namely: NASI, which rose by 0.14%; and NSE 20, which dropped by 0.20%). YTD, it has appreciated by 16.66%. The total of outstanding CBshares stayed at 3,062.36.
Market capitalization also had a 0.55% gain, settling at KES 7,297,091.50 (or US$ 67,691.02). YTD, it has grown by 31.24%. Since December 31, 2019, it has now recorded the 17th gain above 330% to close at 330.15%.
Monday, June 21st, 2021: Unashig Share Price and Market Capitalization at the Close of Trading Day.
The share price closed marginally higher (0.03%) today compared to last Friday, settling at KES 2,369.79 (or US$ 21.98, at the forex rate of US$1:KES107.80). However, it trailed the gains made by two key indices: NASI (0.19%) and NSE 20 (0.08%). YTD (Year-to-Date), it has risen by 16.02%. Total outstanding CBshares remained steady at 3,062.36.
Market capitalization also closed 0.03% higher than we saw last Friday, settling at KES 7,257,136.40 (or US$ 67,320.37). YTD, it has recorded a 30.52% gain. Since December 31st, 2019, it has appreciated by 327.80%.
