UNASHIG ~ Health Insurance Group E Underwriting Summary and Rate Table _ September 11, 2021 to September 10, 2022

On a practical level, Unashig's Group Health Insurance Scheme, underwritten by UAP Old Mutual, is guided by two key documents -- the Underwriting Summary and the Rate Table

For the benefit of Group E participants -- whose one-year cover begins on September 11, 2021 -- we have provided below a link to the Underwriting Summary. All concerned are advised to read it carefully for informed decision-making -- if they haven't already had access to it earlier in other ways.

We have also made available here a link to the Group E Rate Table applicable to the same period of cover, so that the two can be accessed on "the same page", as it were.

CBshare's price jumped 0.90% to close at KES 2,556.45 (or US$ 23.34, at the deteriorated forex rate of KES 109.55 per US$). All the four indices, which benchmark NSE performance, also showed gains at the close. Here's how they ranked relarive to each other, and to CBshare's own price movement:

YTD, the price of a CBshare has climbed 25.16%. The momentum continues, but needs periodic refueling -- which only the constant investor can provide by purchasing  CBshares on a regular basis.

Like the CBshare, Unashig's market capitalization closed the day 0.90% higher, at KES 8,111,911.50 (or US$ 74,047.57). YTD, it has climbed 45.89%. IMPORTANT NOTE: The price of a CBshare will hold at KES 2,556.45 (US$ 23.34) -- plus statutory and brokerage charges approximating 2.23% over-and-above the direct cost of CBshares bought by an investor at a given time -- until 5:00 PM (GMT+3) on Monday, August 23rd. A new price will be released later that evening or night.

YTD, CBshare has recorded a 24.78% price-gain; but this is a lower point on the curve than we saw yesterday.

Like CBshare's price, Unashig's market capitalization dropped 0.56% at today's close, It settled at KES 8,087,023.50 (or US$ 73,854.10). Its growth trajectory, YTD, fell back a little as well compared to yesterday's close, and settled at the 45.45 percentage point on the growth curve. Tuesday, August 17th, 2021: Share Price and Market Capitalization at the Close of Trading Day.

Tuesday saw a continuation of the recent spike in share prices and market capitalization at the NSE. Unashig did not sell any CBshares or buy any NSE-quoted securities today. Consequently, the number of shares outstanding in its books remained steady at 3,173.11. Still, CBshare's price was affected by the broader churn of buys and sells and underlying trends at the bourse. It rose 1.94% and closed at KES 2,563.03 (or US$ 23.42, at the still sliding forex rate of KES 109.45 per US$). Like the price of a CBshare, four familiar NSE indexes recorded gains at the close. Here is where CBshare stood among them:

1) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Up 2.63%
2) NSE 25 Index: Up 2.51%
3) NASI (NSE ALL Share Index): Up 2.46%
4) CBshare Price: Up 1.94%
5) NSE 20 Index: Up 1.16%.

YTD, the price of a CBshare has surged 25.48%.

Unashig's market capitalization also rose and, in tandem, closed 1.94% higher today, at KES 8,132,768.00 (or US$ 74,305.78). This was the very first time that valuation broke into the KES 8m 'space'. YTD, it has made a 46.27% gain. Since December 31st, 2019, its cumulative gain has hit the 379.42 percentage-point on the growth curve. We are now less than KES 2m to the KES 10m target by year's end.

Monday, August 16th, 2021: Share Price and Market Capitalization at the Close of Trading Day.

CBshare price surged 1.22% on this first traading day of the new week to close at KES 2,514.17 (or US$ 22.98, at the adverse and still weakening forex rate of KSE 109.40 per US$). This is the highest price per CBshare (in KES) so far achieved. Furthermore, compared to four performaance indices at the NSE, CBshare perched at the top of today's pecking order, as we see below:

1) CBshare price: Up 1.22%
2) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Up 0.98%
3) FTSE NSE Kenya 25: Up 0.95%
4) NSE 25: Up 0.64%
5) NSE 20: Up 0.62%.

The momentum we have been making reference to emphatically reared its head today. We filled certain gaps in Unashig's quoted holdings with the weekend's relatively bumper proceeds from CBshare sales. Continuous buying of CBshares, on the one hand, and of quoted securities on the other, is truly a winning formula. Let's keep it up.

YTD, the price of a CBshare has recorded a 23.09% gain, helped rather than hindered by the quantum of shares outstanding (the hawk-eyed denominator) which now stand at 3,173.11.

With a burst of determination, we could easily push Unashig to the KES 10m market capitalization milestone by year's end. We still have four months to do so. With what we already have, we saw market capitalization surge 2.06% today to close at a new peak of KES 7,977,733.00 (or US72,922.61). YTD, it has shown a 43.48% gain -- and, Since December 31st, 2019, a 370.28% jump.
