Share Price and Market Capitalization at the Close of Specified Days of the Week [Abridged]

Friday, June 17th, 2022.

CBshare price shed 0.75%, to close at KES 1,835.81 (or US$15.64, at the forex rate of KES117.35 per US$). However, its performance ranking went from third back to second. All NSE indices fell, as shown below:

1. NSE 20 Index: -0.17%
2. CBshare price (25 counters): -0.75%*
3. NSE 25 Index: -1.18%
4. FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: -1.51%
5. NASI (NSE All-Share Index): -1.75%.

Unashig's market capitalization also contracted, but by a somewhat discrepant margin of 0.57%, to close at KES6,119,880.00 (or US$52,150.66). The downward slide continued, but was subtly mitigated by the purchase of some CBshares today.

On a week-on-week basis, here's how CBshare performed relative to the four NSE indices:

1. NSE 20 Index: -2.97%
2. CBshare price (25 counters): -4.08%*
3. NSE 25 Index: -5.49%
4. FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: -5.99%
5. NASI (NSE All-Share Index): -6.22%.

As pointed out yesterday, and earlier, lower prices offer a buying opportunity for those with the long view. If more shareholders heeded this call, Unashig would find itself in a better and better place. The bigger the capitalization the greater the opportunities for further growth that come within your reach, and even seek you out.

ALL ARE ADVISED THAT: Share trading is not Unashig's core business, but an important aspect of an enterprise. Unashig is a limited liability company registered under Kenya's Companies Act. It is wholly owned by its registered shareholders, currently numbering 247.

The average number of CBshares held per shareholder remains very low, however. This is not conducive to rapid capital/asset growth, or the generation of substantial and distributable dividend income. For over 12 months, the value of our CBshare has proven that Unashig's investment decisions continue to be competitive with, and quite frequently superior to, those pegged on the trajectory of any or often all of the four leading NSE indices.
