Share Price and Market Capitalization on Specified Days of the Week:

Friday, July 9th, 2021: Unashig's Share Price and Market Capitalization at the Close of Trading Day.

The price of the CBshare edged 0.02% lower to close at KES2,455.92 (or US$22.75, at the forex rate of US$1:KES107.95). In comparison, NSE 20 climbed 0.32%, while NASI dropped 0.24%. On a W/W basis (that is, since last Friday), however, it closed with a 0.64% gain. YTD, it made a 20.24% gain.

Unashig's Market capitalization closed lower as well, recording a 0.16% drop and a valuation level of KES 7,630,825.00 (or US$70,688.50). On a W/W basis, however, it had a gain of 0.92%; while YTD it appreciated by 37.24%. Since December 31st 2019, it has realized a gain of 349.83% -- though from small beginnings.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The unit price of a CBshare will hold at KES 2,455.92 (or US22.75) -- plus the brokerage and statutory charges indicated in the Unashig Share Pricing Formula -- until next Monday, July 12th, after (a) NSE releases its Daily Price List at around 4:00 PM (GMT+3); and, (b) Unashig 'mines' (i.e. processes) both the newly-released stats and other data required to arrive at a new price. The charges referred to above represent approximately 2.4% over and above the direct cost of shares bought by an investor on a particular date.

Thursday, July 8th, 2021: Unashig's Share Price and Market Capitalization at the Close of Trading Day.

The CBshare price changed marginally, closing 0.04% higher today at KES 2,456.33 (or US$  22.76). Two NSE indices that we routinely track also closed on a higher note, but outperformed it  as follows: NASI (closed 0.48%) and NSE 20 (closed 0.29%). YTD, it has made a cumulative gain of 20.26%.

Market capitalization also closed 0.04% higher, settling at KES 7,632,083 (or US$ 70,732.93). YTD, it has recorded a 37.26% gain. Since December 31st, 2019, it has seen a growth of 349.90%.

Wednesday, July 7th, 2021: Unashig's Share Price and Market Capitalization at the Close of Trading Day.

'Tis a season, however long or short it may turn out to be, of rising share prices and 'bulging' market capitalisation. And so it is for Unashig, whose CBshare price rose by 0.34% today to close at KES 2,455.46 (or US$  22.75, at the unchanged forex rate of US$1:KES 107.95). It didn't do too badly either against two familiar indices at the NSE, namely: NASI (which recorded a 0.50% gain) and NSE 20 (which finished 0.41% higher). YTD, the price of the CBshare has risen by 20.22%.

The company's market capitalization gained a further 0.34% today, and closed at KES 7,629,397.50, or US$ 70,675.29. Since the end of June 2021, it has appreciated by 1.78%. On a YTD basis, it has advanced 37.22% higher. Since December 31st 2019, its growth trajectory has taken it to the highest point yet: at 349.74%.

Tuesday, July 6th, 2021: Unashig Share Price and Market Capitalization at the Close of Trading Day.

The CBshare reversed course and jumped 0.52% higher than yesterday, closing today at KES 2,447.25. This price converts into US$ 22.67, at the unchanged forex rate of US$1:KES107.95. Based on market analysis released by Dyer & Blair today, the CBshare was marginally outperformed by NSE 20 (which closed 0.53% higher), but in turn closed comparatively higher than NASI (which in fact declined by 0.20%).  Against the background of this surge was the fact that Unashig bought some quoted shares today, one shareholder rounded off a fractional share to a whole one, and the number of outstanding shares increased to 3,107.11. Yes, we still have several fractional shares in our records. The sooner they are rounded off the better.

YTD, the CBshare has gained 19.82% in value. The 20% milestone is certainly within sight.

At a new high of KES 7,603,889.00 (or US$ 70,439.00), Unashig's capitalization closed 0.80% higher than it did on Monday. Its rise to the new level was not affected computationally by the increased number of outstanding shares. Since the end of June, it has gained 1.44% in value -- or US$ 1,000.16. YTD, it has added 36.76% in valuation. And since December 31st, 2019, it has accumulated a 348.24% gain.

Monday, July 5th,2021: Unashig Share Price and Market Capitalization at the Close of Trading Day.

The CBshare closed this Monday 0.23% lower than last Friday, at KES 2,434.66 (or US$ 22.55, at the forex rate of US$1:KES107.95). In contrast, as reported by Dyer & Blair, two NSE indices closed as follows: NSE (0.36% lower than last Friday) and NASI (1.61% higher). Unashig added some quoted shares to its holdings, but no CBshares were sold. The CBshare price closed 19.2% higher, YTD, but this was lower than last Friday's peak.

Market capitalization also closed 0.23% lower, at KES 7,543,466 (or US$ 69,879.26). YTD, it has recorded a gain of 35.67%, which is a slight dip from last Friday. Since December 31st, 2019, Unashig's valuation has jumped 344.68% -- despite unavoidable ups and downs in its growth trajectory. Today's closing mark represents the third highest level of capitalization on record.

Introduction to Trends in Unashig's CBShare Price and Market Capitalization

On March 8th, 2021, we formally started using this platform to give a selection of day-to-day and week-by-week changes in the pegged value of Unashig's outstanding (i.e. issued) CBshares, as well as the market capitalization of its portfolio of stocks quoted on the Nairobi Securities Exchamge (NSE). The purpose was to give current and potential investors easy and "always-on" access to the essential updates required to (a) make informed decisions about initial or additional share purchases; and, (b) track on a regular basis the changing (indeed, growing) value of their present or future investments.

We have previously conveyed all this, and certain related observations, almost exclusively on WhatsApp, and shared them sporadically with a relatively small circle of interested investors (mostly Dons at the University of Nairobi). However, it goes without saying that Unashig's presence in a more expansive terrain should sooner rather than later prove more interactive -- and even more beneficial in terms of an expanding shareholder-base, currently standing at 233.

The daily CBshare-price, and the aggregate market capitalization of Unashig's holdings, are calculated and posted at the close of each trading day. These are then clustered on a week-by-week basis, with the most recent week at the top of the series of clusters. In order to deepen perspectives, certain comparisons are periodically made with changes in NSE indices, and with bond yields (both local and foreign).
