CBshare retreated 0.09% to close at KES 2,354.10 (or US$ 20.78, at the forex rate of KES 113.31 per US$). As a result, it dropped to fifth position in the day's ranking, as we see below:

Based on a longer view -- that is, going back to December 31st, 2020 -- we see that CBshare has grown by 14.74%; while market capitalization has appreciated by 39.45%.

CBshare sustained its most recent upward trend, gaining another 0.55% and closing at KES 2,356.17 (or US$ 20.81, at the forex rate of KES 113.25 per US$). It jumped from fourth position to second in the day's performance ranking, helped in part by an infrequent purchase of additional shares by existing shareholders. More of such initiatives would help us stay competitive, and make us all the merrier.

This placed it fourth in today's ranking, a position that it held yesterday as well. Monday was not a public holiday at the bourse, after all. Investors were none-the-worse for it. All key indices started the year with a bounce. CBshare, with a 0.92% price gain at the close, outperformed the indices, as the ranking below illustrates. It closed at KES 2,320.17 (or US$ 20.51, at the forex rate of KES 113.15 per US$):
