UNASHIG's Share Price and Market Capitalization of Holdings Quoted on the Nairobi Securities Exchange _ December 27th - December 31st 2021.

For a Background to this series of summaries at the close of each trading day, READ: "Introduction to Trends in Unashig's CBshare Price and Market Capitalization."

Share Price and Market Capitalization on Specified Days of the Week:

Friday, December 31st, 2021.

[NOTE (January 3rd, 2022): The end-of-year data presented below represent necessary corrections to the version published on December 31st. These corrections start with, and are essentially anchored on, the fact that market capitalization at the close was KES 7,515,735.50, and not KES 7,514,516.50 as reported in the earlier version -- which had undercounted the number of shares held in KenGen (13,500 and not 13,400) and NSE (52,500 and not 52,400)]

CBshare price rallied 0.44% to close the year at KES 2,299.02 (or US$ 20.32, at the forex rate of KES 113.15 per US$). Four key NSE indices also gained ground, at marginally different rates, as the ranking below shows:

1) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Up 0.98%
2) NSE 25 Index: Up 0.78%
3) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Up 0.72%
4) CBshare price: Up 0.44%*
5) NSE 20 Index: Up 0.26%.

This ranking turns upside-down, so to speak, when we assess performance on a week-on-week basis (see below):

1) NSE 20 Index: Up 0.03%
2) NSE 25 Index: Down 0.42%
3) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Down 1.18%
4) CBshare price: Down 1.37%
5) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Down 2.41%.

On this last day of year 2021 (i.e. on a YTD basis), CBshare price closed with a 12.56% gain.

Victor Juma's article in this Friday's Business Daily, in which he ranks investment gains made in 2021, shows clearly that, unless one had invested in 20-year bonds (20 years!), investment in quoted securities was the thing to do.

Unashig's market capitalization closed the year with a 35.17% cumulative gain -- that is, at KES 7,515,735.50 (or US$ 66,422.76). When you add a 2.0% dividend yield attributable to year 2021 (which, incidentally, was not a good year for dividend payments), the year's gain goes even higher. No bond issues will give you this level of gain or liquidity. Counting from December 31st, 2019, market capitalization surged 344.09%. However, we are now shifting our "base data" (or base date) to the more realistic stats reported at the close of trading on December 31st, 2020. These were the same stats on record when the 2021 trading year opened for the first time in January 2021.

IMPORTANT NOTE: CBshare is now priced at KES 2,299.02 (US$ 20.32) -- plus statutory and brokerage charges ranging from 3.55% of the price of one share to 2.26% of the combined price of 10 shares bought at a particular time. That price will hold until 5:00 PM (GMT+3), Monday, January 3rd, 2022. A new price will be released early or later Monday night.

CBshare fell 0.88% to close at KES 2,288.96 (or US$ 20.23, at the forex rate of KES 113.15 per USD). It wasn't a good penultimate day of year 2021, either, for NSE indices. All of them fell, leaving us with this 'nearly' identical performance rating (two days in a row) to ponder:

3) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Up 0.38%
4) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Up 0.20%
5) CBshare price: Up 0.15%*.

That ranking changes in every instance when we rate performance on a Week-on-Week (WoW) basis:

2) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Up 4.12%
3) NSE 25 Index: Up 3.72%

Thursday, December 23rd, 2021.

CBshare and the four NSE indices that we track recorded significant surges. The price of a CBshare closed 1.57% higher, at KES 2,327.02 (or US$ 20.57, at the forex rate of KES 113.15 per US$). As we see below, NASI led the pack with a 2.00% gain, while only NSE 20 Index failed to gain more than one percentage point. CBshare ended up in 'bronze' position:

CBshare edged up another 0.44%. It closed at KES 2,291.12 (or US$ 20.25, at the forex rate of KES 113.15 per US$). But this pushed it only one notch higher, on a day when three NSE indices outperformed it for the second day in a row. Its competitiveness -- indeed, Unashig's potential -- continues to be hampered by the lack of sustained purchases of additional CBshares

Here is today's ranking of the indices:

1) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Up 1.13%
2) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Up 0.87%
3) NSE 25 Index: Up 0.77%
4) CBshare price: Up 0.44%*

Tuesday, December 21st, 2021.

CBshare gained another 0.16% in price, closing at KES 2,281.17 (or US$ 20.20, at the forex rate of KES 112.95 per US$). However, it flipped from first to fifth place in today's ranking, as we see here:

Monday, December 20th, 2021.

CBshare rallied 0.81% to close at KES 2,277.52 (or US$ 20.14, at the forex rate of KES 113.10 per US$). While all the four indices shown below also closed in positive territory, CBshare's performance placed it at the top of the pack:

Unashig's Portfolio of NSE-listed Shares ~ November 30th 2021

Pegging the average value of the CA and CBshares issued to its shareholders on the 'underlying' (i.e. aggregate) market value of NSE-listed stocks which it owns continues to be a key feature of Unashig's long-term investment strategy within the capital markets domain.

In a word, all the proceeds of CA- and CB- share sales are invested in a selection of securities traded on the NSE. The price of each CA and CB share is averaged over the combined market value of the NSE-quoted shares which Unashig owns. This price changes from day to day, and serves as Unashig's own index of market performance.

Unashig is currently invested in 25 counters at the NSE, as the November 2021 CDSC Statement availed at the link below shows.

Share Price and Market Capitalization on Specified Days of the Week:

Friday, December 17th, 2021.

CBshare fell 0.17% to close at KES 2,259.25 (or US$ 19.98, at a weaker forex rate of KES 113.05 per US$). However, this performance enabled it to retain fourth position when ranked against four NSE indices, as we see below:

1) NASI (NSE ALL Share Index): Up 0.20%
2) NSE 25 Index: Up 0.03%
3) FTSE NSE Kenya Index: Unchanged at 0.00%
4) CBshare price: Down 0.17%*
5) NSE 20 Index: Down 0.42%.

That ranking is considerably scrambled, however, when our attention turns to a Week-on-Week performance pattern, as shown below:

1) NSE 25 Index: Up 0.86%
2) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Up 0.70%
3) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Up 0.53%
4) CBshare price: Up 0.28%*
5) NSE 20 Index: Down 0.10%.

On a YTD basis, CBshare was up 10.61% on the growth curve.

Unashig's market capitalization fell 0.17% to KES 7,347,342.00 (or US$ 64,991.97). On a YTD basis, it was 32.14% higher on the growth curve [The figure as earlier published had a typographical error, which has been corrected]. Since December 31st, 2019, it has grown by 334.14%.

IMPORTANT NOTE: CBshare is now priced at KES 2,259.25 (US$ 19.98) -- plus statutory and brokerage charges ranging from 3.55% of the price of one share to 2.26% of the combined price of 10 shares bought at a particular time. It will remain so priced until 5:00 PM (GMT+3) Monday, December 20th. A new price will be released early or later Monday night.

Thursday, December 16th, 2021.

CBshare's upward drift continued. Its price closed marginally higher (by 0.08%), at KES 2,263.13 (or US$ 20.04, at the forex rate of KES 112.92 per US$). Its ranking nevertheless fell from second to fourth, as we see below:

1) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Up 0.26%
2) NSE 25 Index: Up 0.19%
3) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Up 0.11%
4) CBshare price: Up 0.08%*
5) NSE 20 Index: Down 0.38%.

On a YTD basis, It closed with a 10.80% gain.

Unashig's market capitalization also rose by 0.08%, closing at KES 7,359,942.50 (or US$ 65,178.38). On a YTD basis, it closed 32.37% higher. Since December 31st, 2019, it has made a 334.89% gain.

From the empirical evidence seen throughout this year, one thing is clear. The capacity of both CBshare and Unashig's market capitalization to gain significant value and generally outperform the market will continue to depend on the zeal with which Unashig's shareholders add to their CBshare holdings. So let's see some "value added" enthusiasm in the coming year.

Wednesday, December 15th, 2021.

CBshare price rose another 0.21% to close at KES 2,261.27 (or US$ 20.02, at the forex rate of KES 112.95 per US$). This performance raised it from fifth to second when ranked against the usual NSE indices -- all of which closed on a positive note as well, as we see below:

1) NSE 20 Index: Up 0.34%
2) CBshare price: Up 0.21%*
3) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Up 0.16%
4) NSE 25 Index: Up 0.15%
5) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Up 0.01%.

Like CBshare, Unashig's market capitalization rose 0.21% today. It closed at KES 7,353,884.50 (or US$ 65,107.43).

YTD, CBshare has made a 10.71% gain; while Unashig's market capitalization has grown by 32.26%. Since December 31st, 2019, market capitalization has climbed by 334.53%, at today's count.

Tuesday, December 14th, 2021.

Today was the first trading day of the week, Monday having been a public holiday associated with Jamhuri Day (which this year fell on Sunday, 12/12/2021). CBshare price made a 0.16% gain, to close at KES 2,256.54 (or US$ 19.98, at the forex rate of KES 112.95 per US$). Some CBshares were bought today. This had a mesure of positive effect on the day's results for Unashig; but more would have been merrier, as there is still much ground to recover. All the familiar NSE indices also rose, to varying degrees, as the new ranking shows:

1) NSE 25 Index: Up 0.49%
2) NSE 20 Index: Up 0.36%
3) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Up 0.28%
4) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Up 0.21%
5) CBshare price: Up 0.16%.*

On a YTD basis, CBshare price closed at 10.48% on the growth curve. No reason, then, to fret over the fast approaching year-end results.

Unashig's market capitalization climbed more noticeably than CBshare, closing as it did 0.47% higher, at KES 7,338,509.00 (or US$ 64,971.31). YTD, it closed at 31.98% on the curve. Since December 31st, 2019, it has made a 333.62% gain.

Starting on the first trading day in January 2022, the "base date" for market capitalization will shift from December 31st, 2019 to December 31st, 2020. This will facilitate a more realistic tracking of capitalization/asset growth -- in tandem with the continuing growth of Unashig's data bases.

Health Insurance Renewal Rates for Unashig's Group A ~ December 2021 to December 2022

The Health Insurance Renewal Rates for Unashig's Group A members have now been released by UAP. Please find them at the link below.

Depending on the kind of cover which a participating individual or family chooses, UAP has set the loading over last year's rates at 60%, after Unashig's management negotiate it downwards from 70%.

UAP argues that the utilization levels by insured members during the year ending was too high to allow for lowering rates any further. More on this will soon be shared with members.

Share Price and Market Capitalization on Specified Days of the Week:

Friday, November 26th, 2021.

Thanks in large part to improved performance by Safaricom,  CBshare changed course to close 1.10% up, at KES 2,298.33 (or US$ 20.44, at the forex rate of KES 112.45 per US$). Incidentally, Safaricom is currently Unashig's single largest investment at the bourse, representing 31.98% of the total value of its holdings.

All the usual four NSE indices also closed in positive territory, as the ranking below shows:

1) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Up 1.62%
2) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Up 1.29%
3) CBshare price (25 counters): Up 1.10%*
4) NSE 25 Index: Up 0.92%
5) NSE 20 Index: Up 0.77%.

The aggregate Week-on-Week (WoW) figures, according to which performance declined across the board, give us the following ranking at week's end:

1) NSE 20 Index: Down 0.39%
2) NSE 25 Index: Down 1.72%
3) CBshare price (25 counters): Down 2.05%*
4)  NASI: Down 2.18%
5) FTSE NSE Kenya 25: Down 2.36%.

On a YTD basis, CBshare closed today with a 12.53% gain. Certainly, that's still quite a competitive gain in value.

Unashig's market capitalization grew 1.10% today, to close at KES 7,451,429.50 (or US$ 66,264.38). YTD, it has recorded a 34.01% growth. Since December 31st, 2019, it has climbed 340.29% on the growth curve.

A new price will be released, after some 'mining', early or later Monday night.

Thursday, November 25th, 2021.

CBshare closed 0.29% down, at KES 2,273.33 (or US$ 20.23, at the forex rate of KES 112.37 per US$). As shown in the ranking below, it was outperformed by four key NSE indices -- all of which recorded some gains:

1) NSE 20 Index: Up 0.27%
2) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Up 0.19%
3) NSE 25 Index: Up 0.13%
4) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Up 0.02%
5) CBshare price (25 counters): Down 0.29%*.

On a YTD basis, CBshare closed today with an 11.30% gain.

Unashig's market capitalization dipped 0.29% today, as well, to close at KES 7,370,380.50 (or US$ 65,590.29). On a YTD basis, it was up 32.56%. Since December 31st, 2019, it closed 335.50% up -- which is a lower point on the growth curve than seen yesterday.

The dip at the bourse continues, with Safaricom's performance continuing to be a major factor. However, with the total of CBshares outstanding remaining stagnant at KES 3,242.11 since early this month (i.e. November 3rd), Unashig shareholders are obviously not taking advantage of the opportunity to grow long-term margins that it (the persisting dip) offers. We should borrow a leaf from commodity traders.

Wednesday, November 24th, 2021.

The downward trend at the bourse continued with no end in sight. All the four indices in our sights lost ground. And so did CBshare, whose price dropped 0.84% to close at KES 2,299.17 (or US$ 20.28, at the forex rate of KES 112.40 per US$). Here's how the usual 4 indices and CBshare price ranked at today's close:

1) NSE 20 Index: Down 0.61%
2) CBshare price (25 counters): Down 0.84%*
3) NSE 25 Index: Down 1.02%.
4) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Down 1.18%
5) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Down 1.19%.

Unashig's market capitalization also fell 0.84% to close at KES  7,391,460.50 (or US$ 65,760.32).

CBshare closed Wednesday with an 11.62% gain, YTD. This happens to be a lower point on the curve than we saw yesterday.

On a YTD basis, Unashig's market capitalization closed with a 32.94% gain. Since December 31st, 2019, it has grown by 336.75%.

Tuesday, November 23rd, 2021.

CBshare declined 0.47% to close at KES 2,299.17 (or US$ 20.46, at the forex rate of KES 112.36 per US$). It ranked 3rd among the key NSE indices listed below, all of which also trended downward:

1) NSE 20 Index: Down 0.03%
2) NSE 25 Index: Down 0.32%
3) CBshare price (25 counters): Down 0.47%*
4) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Down 0.58%
5) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Down 0.62%.

Unashig's market capitalization fell 0.47% as well, to close at KES 7,454,158.00 (or US$ 66,341.74, at the forex rate of KES 112.36 per US$).

YTD, CBshare price closed at 12.57%.

Market capitalization closed the day with a 34.06%, YTD. Since December 31st, 2019, on the other hand, it has made a 340.45% gain.

Monday, November 22nd, 2021.

On the day #DayTrading was launched at the NSE, the downward slide of CBshare's price continued. It closed 1.56% lower at KES 2,309.93 (or US$ 20.55, at the forex rate of KES 112.40 per US$). In the process, it was outperformed by two indices, which nevertheless declined as well. However, it outperformed two others and took third position, as we see in the ranking below:

1) NSE 20 Index: Down 0.77%
2) NSE 25 Index: Down 1.41%
3) CBshare Price (25 counters): Down 1.56%*
4) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Down 1.90%
5) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Down 2.16%.

Unashig's market capitalization also fell 1.56%, to close at KES 7,489,058.60 (or US$ 66,628.63).

YTD (Year-To-Date), CBshare recorded a lower gain of 13.09%. Growth in market capitalization also slid, closing at 34.69%, YTD. Since December 31st 2019, market capitalization has appreciated by 342.51%. These figures are lower than we saw at the close last Friday.

Share Price and Market Capitalization on Specified Days of the Week:

Friday, November 19th, 2021.

CBshare dipped yet again, closing 0.31% down, at KES 2,346.53 (or US$ 20.95, at a slightly improved forex rate of KES 112.03 per US$). Safaricom's performance continued to be the biggest disappointment for us, during the week. The share price was disappointing in two related ways: (a) The continuing dip suggests that this state of affairs may last for longer than usual, particularly in relation to the ongoing unrest in Ethiopia; and, (b) Unashig shareholders have not seen or seized the opportunity to buy additional CBshares in order to facilitate "buying the dip" at the bourse -- as a "future momentum" proposition for the company.

While NSE 20 Index closed 0.16% up, the other 3 indices also fell, as we see in today's ranking (in which CBshare places second):

1) NSE 20 Index: Up 0.16%
2) CBshare price (25 counters): Down 0.31%*
3) NSE 25 Index: Down 0.36%
4) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Down 0.44%
5) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Down 0.62%.

In the latest Week-on-Week (WoW) ranking at this Friday's close, the list below shows that all the four indices, as well as CBshare, dipped by more than one percentage point. However, CBshare, with the smallest decline, led the pack:

1) CBshare price (25 counters): Down 1.15%*
2) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Down 1.19%
3) NSE 25 Index: Down 1.33%
4) NSE 20 Index: Down 1.37%
5) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Down 1.76%.

Unashig's market capitalization closed 0.31% down, at KES 7,607,693.00 (or US$ 67,907.64).

On a YTD basis, CBshare's growth curve closed at the 14.89% point, while Unashig's market capitalization closed at 36.83%. Counting from December 31st, 2019, this market capitalization closed at 349.52% today.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The price of a CBshare will hold at KES 2,346.53 (US$ 20.95) -- plus statutory and brokerage charges ranging from 3.55% of the price of one share to 2.26% of the combined price of ten shares bought at a particular time -- until 5:00 PM (GMT+3) next Monday, November 22nd. A new price will be released, after some 'mining', early or later Monday night.

YTD, CBshare's has grown 15.24% in exchange-determined price, while market  capitalization stands 37.25% higher. Since December 31st, 2019, capitalization has grown much higher, to 350.91%. Though tethered to the ups and downs seen at the NSE, Unashig's valuation and growth curve remain robust -- reflecting the choices that we have made in stock picking and concentrating our buys.

Wednesday, November 17th, 2021.

CBshare price dipped 0.36% to close at KES 2,356.70 (or US$ 21.00, at the forex rate of KES 112.25 per US$). Still, it placed first for the second day in a row, when compared with the four NSE indices -- all of which also declined -- as today's ranking shows:

1) CBshare price (25 counters): Down 0.36%*
2) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Down 0.41%
3) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Down 0.49%
4) NSE 25 Index: Down 0.55%
5) NSE 20 Index: Down 0.57%.

Unashig's market capitalization also closed at 0.36% down, or KES 7,640,676.50 (US $ 68,068). YTD, CBshare price has grown by 15.38%; while Unashig's market capitalization has made a 37.42% gain. Since December 31st, 2019, this capitalization has grown by 351.47%.

Tuesday, November 16th, 2021.

CBshare changed course today, recording a marginal gain of 0.10%, and closing at KES 2,365.15 per share (or US$ 21.10, at the forex rate of KES 112.10 per US$). The usual four NSE indices remained in negative territory, however, as the ranking below illustrates:

1) CBshare price (25 counters): Up 0.10%*
2) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Down 0.06%
3) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Down 0.17%
4) NSE 25 Index: Down 0.18%
5) NSE 20 Index: Down 0.34%.

On a YTD basis, CBshare has grown by 15.80%, despite all the ups and downs.

Unashig's market capitalization also jumped 0.10% today, closing at KES 7,668,068.00 (or US$ 68,403.82). YTD, this growth has now hit the 37.91% mark on the curve. Counting from December 31st, 2019, it has made a 353.09% gain.

Monday, November 15th, 2021.

CBshare's price fell yet again today -- to KES 2,362.81 (or US$ 21.08, at the forex rate of KES 112.10 per US$). However, at 0.46% down, it fell less steeply than we saw last Friday. All the four NSE indices that we track also dipped at the close, as we see in the new ranking below:

1) NSE 20 Index: Down 0.13%
2) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Down 0.37&
3) NSE 25 Index: Down 0.43%
4) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Down 0.46%
4) CBshare price (25 counters): Dowm 0.46%.*

On a YTD basis, CBshare price closed the day with a 15.68% gain, which remains quite competitive considering the other options available within the Kenyan economy -- and elsewhere. In some countries you know, they cheer when bond yields hit 1.6% -- or 2.00%. Some of us are yet to understand how such low yields fit into the Rule of 70.

Unashig's market capitalization also closed today 0.46% down, at KES 7,660.659.00 (or US$ 68,337.73). On a YTD basis, however, it closed 37.78% higher. Since December 31st, 2019, it now stands 352.65% higher (but this is nevertheless a little lower than we saw last Friday).

Unashig's market capitalization also closed the day 0.72% lower, at KES 7,696,063.00 (or US$ 68,763.97). YTD, it recorded a 38.41% gain. Counting from December 31st, 2019, it closed at 354.77% -- which is a lower level than we saw yesterday.

At the end of this year, our anchor date will shift to a firmer December 31st 2020. We will see how that shift will affect Unashig's growth curve in the days, months and years ahead.

IMPORTANT NOTE: the price of a CBshare will hold at KES 2,373.78 (US$ 21.21)  -- plus statutory and brokerage charges ranging from 3.55% the price of one share to 2.26% of the price of ten shares bought at a particular time -- until 5:00 PM (GMT+3) next Monday, November 15th. A new price will be released, after some 'mining', early or later Monday night.

3) NSE 20 Index: Down 0.12%
4) FTSE NSE 25 Index: Down 0.21%
5) CBshare price (25 counters): Down 0.70%.*

Of the 25 companies in Unashig's portfolio, the following 6 had improved share prices at today's close: Bamburi, Cooperative Bank, Ilam/Fahari I-REIT, Kakuzi, Liberty Kenya and NSE. The following 8 closed at the same respective prices as on Tuesday: Britam, Carbacid, Standard Group (owners of KTN and The Standard newspaper) ), KCB, KenGen, NMG (owners of NTV and Daily Nation), Safaricom and Williamson Tea. The remaining 11 closed lower. READ: NSE Daily Pricelist.

Unashig's market capitalization also dropped 0.70% from yesterday, closing at KES 7,751,665.00 (or US$ 69,273.15). On a YTD basis, it closed 39.41% higher. Since December 31st, 2019, its "peak" has dipped a notch to a still noteworthy 358.03%.

Wednesday, November 10th, 2021.

Even without additional purchases of CBshares, the share price grew by a further 0.49% to close at KES 2,407.84 (or US$ 21.55, at the debilitating forex rate of KES 111.74 per US$). Out of the usual 4 indices, only NSE 20 index declined (for the fifth day in a row), as shown in the ranking below (in which CBshare stayed put in fourth position):

1) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Up 0.88%
2) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Up 0.85%
3) NSE 25 Index: Up 0.79%
4) CBshare price: Up 0.49%*
5) NSE 20 Index: Down 0.08%.

Unashig's market capitalization closed with a 0.49% gain as well, at KES 7,806,494.00 (or US$ 69,863.02). On a YTD basis, it recorded a 40.40% gain. Counting from December 31st, 2019, this gain closed at 361.27% today.

Tuesday, November 9th, 2021.

CBshare price recovered with a 0.31% gain, closing at KES 2,396.04 (or US$ 21.46, at the forex rate of KES 111.65 per US$). Three out of the usual pack of four NSE indices, but not the iconic NSE 20, also gained ground, as today's ranking shows:

1) NSE 25 Index: Up 0.68%
2) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Up 0.62%
3) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Up 0.36%
4) CBshare price: Up 0.31%*
5) NSE 20 Index: Down 0.06%.

Unashig's market capitalization also closed 0.31% higher, at KES 7,768,215 (or US$ 69,576.49). On a YTD basis, this capitalization closed with a 39.72% gain. Counting from December 31st, 2019, this gain reads much higher -- at 359.01%.

Monday, November 8th, 2021.

The price of a CBshare declined 0.66% to close at KES 2,388.69 (or US$ 21.41, at the forex rate of KES 111.55 per US$). This downward trend is the result of a general erosion or stagnation in the market price of certain leading stocks such as Safaricom (current events in Ethiopia likely have something to do with it), Equity Group, Stanchart, EABL, NMG, KCB and Coop Bank. Failure to "buy the dip", such as is prevailing now, represents a missed opportunity to lock-in future momentum and generate long-term benefit. It only prolongs the negative effects of the very decline we are seemingly too petrified to circumvent or neutralize. It ends up delaying recovery and the resumption of tangible growth. The savvy investor "buys the dip" by continuing to invest when the prices of valued and generally resilient stocks drop (i.e. become cheaper) for a while and seem discouraging.

Here is how the NSE indices and the price of a CBshare performed against each other and ranked today:

1) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Up 0.13%
2) NSE 25 Index: Down 0.21%
3) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Down 0.31%
4) CBshare price (25 counters): Down 0.66%*
5) NSE 20 Index: Down 0.67%.

YTD, the price of a CBshare closed with a still respectable 16.95% gain, which keeps it ahead of a plethora of Bond Yields reported both within Kenya and around the world (including the US).

Unashig's market capitalization closed the day 0.66% down as well, at a lower valuation level of KES 7.744.34.00 (or US$ 69,425.32). YTD, however, that valuation represented a reduced gain of 39.28%. Counting since December 31st, 2019, the indicated gain stands at a still respectable 357.60%.

List of Unashig Shareholders as at the End of October 31st 2021

At the end of October 2021, Unashig had a total of 3,239.11 shares outstanding and 241 shareholders. That gave us an average of 13.44 shares per holder, which is far from spectacular. But a price per share of KES 2,452.69 (or US$ 22.06) at the end of the period is a good indication of where we are headed.

The value of a Unashig share (a CBshare) is specifically pegged on the aggregate value -- divided by the number of CBshares outstanding -- of securities quoted on the Nairobi Securities Exchange in which we have invested. But none of the NSE-quoted securities has a price per share anywhere near that of a CBshare.

Shareholders will find their names on the list provided via the link below. The number of shares held are shown next to the respective names. Please let us know if you have any query regarding your shareholding. Kindly contact Management via this email address: unashig.kenya@gmail.com, or one of Unashig's WhatsApp walls.

UNASHIG's Share Price and Market Capitalization of Holdings Quoted on the Nairobi Securities Exchange -_ November 1st - 5th 2021

Share Price and Market Capitalization on Specified Days of the Week:

Friday, November 5th, 2021.

The trading week closed with CBshare priced by the market at KES 2,404.45 (or US$ 21.56, at a 'virulent' forex rate of KES 111.50 per US$). That's 0.74% lower than it closed yesterday. But that price still ranks CBshare second, for the day, among its unlikely peers, all of which declined two days in a row as the stock exchange -- and more particularly the forex rate -- continued to mbwakni. Here's how the five ranked:

1) NSE 20 Index: Down 0.38%
2) CBshare price: Down 0.74%*
3) NSE 25 Index: Down 0.88%
4) FTSE NSE Kenya 25: Down 1.34%
5) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Down 1.42%.

A look at Week-on-Week (WoW) data affirms the same ranking as above and reveals a steeper downward slope, as we see below:

1) NSE 20 Index: Down 0.64%
2) CBshare price: Down 1.97%*
3) NSE 25 Index: Down 2.44%
4) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Down 3.26%
5) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Down 3.94%.

In contrast to the negative trends prevailing in the short-term, we note that the price of a CBshare has, YTD, increased by 17.72% -- even though this is a point on the curve that's lower than the 18.60% mark reached yesterday.

Closing today at KES 7,795,501.50 (or US$ 69,914.81), Unashig's market capitalization also fell by 0.74%, compared to where it closed yesterday. YTD, however, it has made a 40.20% gain. Since December 31st, 2019, moreover, this gain has risen to the 360.62% point on the curve.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The price of a CBshare will hold at KES 2,404.45 (US$ 21.56) -- plus statutory and brokerage charges ranging from 3.55% of the price of one share to 2.26% of the price of ten shares bought at a particular time -- until 5:00 PM (GMT+3) on Monday, November 8th. A new price will be released, after some 'mining', early or later Monday night.

Thursday, November 4th, 2021.

CBshare price closed 0.42% lower, at KES 2,422.34 (or US$ 21.71, at the 'unbelievable' forex rate of KES 111.60 per US$). In the light of this exchange rate, one fondly remembers a time in the last millennium, decades ago now, when the fixed (shall we say pegged, or tethered?) rate was KES 7.14 per US$.

Like CBshare, all the familiar NSE indices also declined today -- and each relatively more steeply that CBshare -- as we see below:

1) CBshare price (25 counters): Down 0.42%*
2) NSE 20 Index: Down 0.63%
3) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Down 0.66%
4) NSE 25 Index: Down 0.75%
5) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Down 0.91%.

Unashig's market capitalization also closed the day 0.42% lower, with a value of KES 7,853,485.00 (or US $ 70,371.73).

YTD, the price of a CBshare has grown by 18.60%. On the other hand, market capitalization has risen by 41.25%. Indeed, market capitalization has made a 364.05% gain since December 31st, 2019; but this new peak is a little lower than we saw at yesterday's close.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The price of a CBshare will hold at KES 2,422.34 (US$ 21.71) -- plus statutory and brokerage charges ranging from 3.55% of the price of one share to 2.26% of the price of ten shares bought at a particular time -- until 5:00 PM (GMT+3) tomorrow, Friday, November 5th. A new price will be released, after some 'mining', early or later Friday night.

Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021.

Against the background of a small increase in shares outstanding to 3,242.11, and the number of shareholders to 241, CBshare climbed 0.02% to close at KES 2,432.63 (or US$ 21.85, at a tanking forex rate of KES 111.34 per US$). All but one of the NSE indices that we routinely track also went up marginally, as we see in the ranking below:

1) NSE 20 Index: Up 0.51%
2) NSE 25 Index: Up 0.36%
3) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Up 0.09%
4) CBshare price (25 counters): Up 0.02%*
5) FTSE NSE Kenya 25: Down 0.02%.

Unashig's market capitalization rose to KES 7,886,863.00 (or US$ 70,835.85), representing a 0.12% gain for the day. It climbed somewhat higher than CBshare's price (which we have seen). This difference can be explained by the fact that while the three additional shares purchased this afternoon have been factored into calculating today's share price, the proceeds of the share purchase arrived too late -- after the close of today's trading -- and can only be invested tomorrow.

On a YTD basis, CBshare price closed at the 19.10% point on the ever-present growth curve -- a little higher than we saw yesterday. Unashig's market capitalization, on the other hand, closed with (as has been the trend) a significantly higher gain of 41.85%, YTD. This gain rises dramatically to 366.02% when we trace it back to December 31st, 2019.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The price of a CBshare will hold at KES 2,432.63 (US$ 21.85) -- plus statutory and brokerage charges ranging from 3.55% of the price of one share to 2.26% of the price of ten shares bought at a particular time -- until 5:00 PM (GMT+3) tomorrow, Thursday, November 4th, A new price will be released, after some 'mining', early or later Thursday night..

1) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Down 0.31%
2) NSE 25 Index: Down 0.45%
3) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Down 0.56%

Since December 31st, 2019, this growth trajectory has lowered somewhat, compared to yesterday's closing number, to the 365.48% point on the ever-moving curve.

Monday, November 1st, 2021.

On a day when only one NSE index recorded a gain, CBshare dipped 0.22% lower on the growth curve than we saw last Friday, closing at KES 2,447.46 (or US$ 21.99, at the forex rate of KES 111,30 per US$). More importantly, it outperformed three NSE indices by some margin to secure second place, as the ranking below shows:

1) NSE 20 Index: Up 0.55%
2) CBshare price (25 counters): Down 0.21%*
3) NSE 25 Index: Down 0.73%
4) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Dwn 0.97%
5) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Down 1.20%.

CBshare's gain, YTD, slipped somewhat to close the day at the 19.82% point on the growth curve.

Unashig's market capitalization also closed the day lower, by 0.21%, than last Friday, at KES 7,927,604.50 (US$ 71,227.50). YTD, it posted a slightly lower gain (of 42.58%) than last Friday's (42.88%). Today's figures indicate that its gain since December 31st, 2019 remains very high, though it dipped somewhat to 368.43% on the growth curve.

CBshare closed 0.16% higher, at KES 2,424.17 (or US$ 21.82, at a marginally improved forex rate of KSE 111.08 per US$). This was enough to place it second in today's ranking. Two NSE indices also edged upwards, while two declined, as we see below:

Tuesday, October 26th, 2021.

The price of a CBshare closed 0.02% down, at KES 2,420.18 (or US$ 21.77, at the forex rate of KES 111.15 per US$). Two out of four NSE indices that we track also fell; but two others rose, as we see in the list below (which also shows CBshare's improved ranking):

1) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Up 0.67%
2) NSE 20 Index: Up 0.09%
3) CBshare price: Down 0.02%*
4) NSE 25 Index: Down 0.23%
5) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Down 0.30%.

Today's CBshare price represents an 18.49% gain, YTD. With a 40.99% gain, on the other hand, Unashig's market capitalization  -- which closed at KES 7,839,225.50 (US$ 70,528.34) -- displays a significantly larger and seemingly discrepant gain, YTD. But that's what the numbers are telling us. Indeed, tracing from December 31st, 2019, market capitalization closed today at the 362.11% point on a cumulative but frequently shape-shifting growth curve.

Monday, October 25th, 2021.

The total of Unashig shareholders hit 240 today, with the number of shares outstanding rising somewhat to 3,239.11. That's an average of 13.50 shares per holder. All these numbers will continue to grow.

CBshare's price closed 1.53% lower, at KES 2,420.70 (or US$ 21.78, at a forex rate that weakened further to KES 111.15 per US$). All the four NSE indices that we track closed lower as well, but, relatively speaking, not as steeply. Here's today's ranking:
