The price of a CBshare climbed a further 0.21% to close at KES2,316.90 (or US$ 20.39, at the forex rate of KES113.65 per US$). Incidentally, this was the highest point on the curve after January 10th, 2022. It may suggest that Kenya's stock market as a whole is on a path to recovery. Market capitalization also rose 0.21% to close this Friday at KES 7,663,387.00 (or US$ 67,429.71).

The price of a CBshare jumped only 0.14% to close at KES2,312.07 (or US$20.36, at the forex rate of KES113.55 per US$). Though this was its second-highest price level since January 7th, 2022, it trailed the usual NSE indices as its ranking fell from third to fifth at today's close, as we see below:

The familiar NSE indices closed on an upward trend, as the ranking below shows. CBshare improved its ranking by gaining 0.43% as it closed at KES2,308.91 (or US$20.32, at the forex rate of KES 113.60 per US$).

Unashig's market capitalization also grew 0.43% to close at KES7,636,974.50 (or US$67,226.89). This peak has not been breached since January 10th this year.
YTD, the price of CBshare has climbed 0.43% as well; while market capitalization has made a 1.61% gain.
Since the baseline date of December 31st, 2020, the price of a CBshare has gained 12.54%, while market capitalization has surged 37.35%.
Tuesday, February 1st, 2022.
Building on the levels seen yesterday, most NSE indices continued to rally today, giving their best performance since the beginning of the year.
CBshare -- whose price rose 0.97% to KES2,292.12 (or US$ 20.24, at the forex rate of KES113.60 per US$) -- showed considerable resilience as well, considering that there continues to be limited fresh capital flowing into the company.
Here's how CBshare and the NSE indices jostled and ultimately ranked today:

4. CBshare price (aggregated over 25 counters): Up 0.97%*
5. NSE 20 Index: 0.00%.
Unashig's market capitalization also gained a further 0.97%, closing at KES7,604,586.00 (or US$66,941.78).
YTD, however, the value of a CBshare has remained essentially static, having risen marginally from KES 2,299.02 to KES2,299.12. It will see better days ahead, as momentum gathers steam. Unashig's market capitalization has risen 1.18% during the same period, regardless of CBshare's less than stellar performance.
Looking back to baseline numbers at the close of December 31st, 2020, we find that CBshare has gained 12.06%, while market capitalization has surged 36.77%.

Monday, January 31st, 2022.
The upward trend observed at the bourse last Friday gathered pace today, with the price of a CBshare rising 1.05% and closing at KES2,276.96 (or US$20.04, at the forex rate of KES113.60 per US$). All the usual NSE indices jumped rather noticeably as well, and within a fairly close range, ultimately replicating the ranking that we saw on Friday. Here below is today's ranking:
