Share Price and Market Capitalization on Specified Days of the Week:
Friday, August 13th, 2021: Share Price and Market Capitalization at the Close of Trading Day.
CBshare's price gained 0.18% today, settling at KES 2,483.83 (or US$ 22.72, at the still declining forex rate of KES 109.30 per US$). Its performance ranked fifth at the close, when measured against four NSE indices (all of which closed in positive territory as well), as the list below shows:
1) NSE 20 Index: Up 0.45%
2) NSE 25 Index: Up 0.43%
3) FTSE NSE Kenya 25: Up 0.29%
4) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Up 0.28%
5) CBshare Price: Up 0.18%.
However, when we compare relative performance on a Week-on-Week (WoW) basis -- that is, from the close of trading on Friday, May 6th 2021 to the close on Friday, May 13th, 2021 -- we get this different and more illuminating rank-order among the five metrices:
1) CBshare Price: Up 0.85%
2) NSE 20: Up 0.80%
3) NSE 25: Down 0.35%
4) FTSE NSE Kenya 25: Down 0.37%
5) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Down 0.40%.
YTD, CBshare has gained 21.61% in value. In contrast, it is reported in Cytonn Report (August 15, 2021) that three NSE indices have recorded the following gains YTD (all of which fall short of CBshare's mark): NASI (up 19.2%), NSE 25 (up 15.8%) and NSE 20 (up 4.7%). Based on CBshare's recent performance, we expect an even more robust gain at year's end (Updated: August 15th, 2021).

Unashig's market capitalization also gained 0.18%, and closed at KES 7,816,876.00 (or US$ 71,517.62). On a YTD basis, it has now added 40.59% in value. Since December 31st, 2019, its value has jumped 360.80%. This is the second highest point so far attained, after the 360.81% mark reached on August 10,2021. The gain is certainly going to continue -- even with bumps along the way.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The price of a CBshare will hold at the new level of KES 2,483.83 (or US$ 22.72) -- plus statutory and brokerage charges approximating 2.4% over-and-above the direct cost of CBshares bought at a given time -- until Monday, August 16th, after (a) NSE releases its Daily Pricelist at around 4:15 PM (GMT+3); and, (b) Unashig announces a new CBshare price than evening or night.
Thursday, August 12th, 2021: Share Price and Market Capitalization at the Close of Trading Day.
Once again, CBshare did not display any lift, closing 0.15% lower than yesterday at KES 2,479.38 (or US$ 22.70, at the still eroding forex rate of KES 109.20 per US$). Indeed, it ranked fourth for the second consecutive day when ranked against four NSE indices -- with the top two 'clarifying' their relative positions as follows:
1) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Up 0.09%
2) NASI: Up 0.06%
3) NSE 25 Index: Down 0.03%
4) CBshare Price: Down 0.15%
5) NSE 20 Index: Down 0.51%.
Unashig sold some CBshares and used the proceeds to shore up its future momentum by acquiring a selection of stocks across five counters at the NSE. Unashig's "shares outstanding" rose to 3,147.11. These continue to be distributed quite unevenly among 233 shareholders.
YTD, the value of a CBshare closed with a reduced gain of 21.39%, when compared with yesterday's number.
Unaffected by the 3,147.11 shares outstanding now in its books, Unashig's market capitalization closed 0.05% lower, and thus less steeply, than (a) it did yesterday; and, (b) CBshare more noticeably did today. The day ended with it standing at KES 7,802,871.00 (or US$ 71,454.86). YTD, it closed 40.34% higher. Its climb since December 31st, 2019 showed a 359.97% growth at today's close, though this was a lower peak on the curve than we saw in the last two days.
Wednesday, August 11th, 2021: Share Price and Market Capitalization at the Close of Trading Day.

YTD, CBshare's value closed at the 21.57% point on the growth curve, which was a little lower than yesterday's close.
Unashig's market capitalization dropped 0.13% to close at KES 7,807,154.50 (or US$ 71,513.74). This drop noticeably less steep than we saw in CBshare's movement. YTD, capitalization has indeed climbed 40.41%. Since December 31st, 2019, it has made a 360.22% gain.

3) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Down 0.03%

Monday closed on a high note, with the CBshare jumping 1.17% to KES 2,491.59 (or US$ 22.89, at the still declining forex rate of KES 108.85 per US$). This strong gain, fueled by momentum, catapulted CBshare ahead of all the four NSE indices, as follows:
