Share Price and Market Capitalization on Specified Days of the Week:
Friday, September 3rd, 2021: Share Price and Market Capitalization at the Close of Trading Day.
CBshare dropped yet again, its price ticking 0.49% lower than Thursday's close and settling at KES 2,504.73 (or US$ 22.77, at a marginally trimmed forex rate of KES 110.00 per USD). Market doings on this week's last trading day saw all but one of our key indices (i.e. NSE 20 Index) and CBshare price close in negative territory. Here is how the 5 ranked (with only the first three retaining the positions that they held the day before):
1) NSE 20 Index: Up 0.05%
2) CBshare Price: Down 0.49%*
3) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Down 0.83%
4) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Down 0.87%
5) NSE 25 Index: Down 0.94%.
CBshare closed a sturdy 22.63% higher on a YTD basis -- that is, since the start of this year. As the record shows, this 'peak' -- indeed, any typical day's closing number -- does not reflect a straight-line progression from day-to-day. It is not to be expected to, either.
Unashig's market capitalization fell 0.49% today, closing at KES 8,000,389 (or US 72,730.81). YTD, however, it has marked a 48.89% gain. Tracking from December 31st, 2019, this gain closed this Friday at the 371.61% point on the growth curve.
IMPORTANT NOTE TO ALL INVESTORS, WHEREVER YOU MAY BE: The price of a CBshare will hold at KES 2,504.73 (US$ 22.77) -- plus statutory and brokerage charges approximating 2.23% over-and-above the direct cost of CBshares bought at a given time -- until 5:00 PM (GMT+3) next Monday, September 6th. A new price will be released, after some 'mining', early or later that night.

Thursday, September 2nd, 2021: Share Price and Market Capitalization at the Close of Trading Day.
The price curve dropped yet again for CBshare, closing 0.40% lower at KES 2,516.95 (or US$ 22.88, at a devaluing forex rate of KES 110.03 per US$). All the four NSE indices that we track also lost ground. The ensuing rank-order shows that CBshare flipped from fifth place on Wednesday to second today -- a position it occupied on three different days this week.
All this 'churn' suggests that CBshare's valuation is already underpinned by moving parts (by 'variables') which, if well-maintained, will more than promise a competitive edge for it.
Here is where CBshare and the four indices ended up, relative to each other, at the close:
1) NSE 20 Index: Down 0.09%
2) CBshare Price: Down 0.40% *
3) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Down 0.58$
4) NSE 25 Index: Down 0.85%
5) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Down 0.88%.

YTD, it has surged 44.59%. -- though the highest point reached in the course of the year has fluctuated quite frequently. Since December 31st, 2019, its far-from-straight growth path has now taken it to the 373.91 percentage point.
Wednesday, September 1st, 2021: Share Price and Market Capitalization at the Close of Trading Day.
CBshare's price curve dipped 0.53% -- less steeply than we saw yesterday, but still a dip. It closed at KES 2,527.16 (or US$ 23.00, at a weaker forex rate of KES 109.90 per USD). Three NSE indices also fell, reflecting -- as they invariably do whether trending up or down -- VWAP (Volume-Weighted Average Price) fluctuations from counter to counter. But the NSE 20 Index, frequently the "Lighthouse", climbed into positive territory. Here's how four familiar indices, and CBshare, ranked at the end:
1) NSE 20 Index: Up 0.27%
2) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Down 0.16%
3) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Down 0.33%
4) NSE 25 Index: Down 0.37%
5) CBshare Price: Down 0.53%
At today's close, the price of a CBshare was nevertheless 23.73% higher -- on a YTD basis.
Unashig's market capitalization closed 0.41% lower today, at KES 8,072,034 (or US$ 73,448.90). In that sense, it fared slightly better than the CBshare price. YTD, on the other hand, it marked a 45.18% gain. Since December 31st, 2019, this gain continues to be quite noteworthy, even though it is now revised downward to 375.84%. The gain to be recorded from December 31st, 2020 to the end of 2021 will certainly be more telling. It will be waited for with great enthusiasm.
Tuesday, August 31st, 2021: Share Price and Market Capitalization at the Close of Trading Day.
Today saw CBshare's price dip 1.06% compared to yesterday, to close at KES 2,540.63 (or US$ 23.14, at a forex rate that eased almost imperceptibly to KES 109.81 per USD). Steep as the drop appears to be, it reflects a recent trend at the bourse. It is a trend that has nevertheless seen CBshare retain second position for most of last week, and so far this week, when matched against the usual NSE indices. Here below is today's ranking:
1) NSE 20 Index: Down 0.55%
2) CBshare Price: Down 1.06%
3) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Down 1.44%
4) NSE 25 Index: Down 1.45%
5) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Down 1.62%.

Unashig's market capitalization dropped 1.05% today -- indeed, more-or-less as steeply as the CBshare. It closed the day at KES 8,104,896 (or US$ 73,808.36). YTD, it has recorded a 45.77% gain. Since December 31st, 2019, furthermore, it has now recorded a cumulative gain of 377.77%. But this is not its highest point ever, as earlier data clearly show.

All four NSE indices which we track -- because they regularly, and independently, monitor the bourse's daily performance -- also dipped today, to varying degrees. Here is how CBshare's price ranked among them:
1) NSE 20 Index: Down 0.11%
2) NSE 25 Index: Down 0.37%
2) CBshare Price: Down 0.37% *
4) FTSE NSE Kenya 25 Index: Down 0.76&
5) NASI (NSE All Share Index): Down 1.18%.
Despite the day's drop, CBshare's price closed 25.71% higher on a YTD basis.
