Unashig Kenya PLC has 233 shareholders, who currently own a combined total of 3,190.11 CA and CBshares out of a total of 7,000 authorized shares.
At the outset, the nominal value of a Unashig share was deliberately set at KES 2,000. In hindsight, this has made it so much easier to translate -- to cast -- the price of a CA or CBshare into US dollars. At the end of August 2021, the combined value of shares already issued -- that is, shares outstanding -- stood at KES 8,104,896 (or US$ 73,808.36).
Pegged as it is to the market value of a portfolio of NSE-quoted shares held by Unashig, the unit price of a CA or CBshare fluctuates often, in tandem with the market's ebb-and-flow -- but has generally trended upwards. It stood at KES 2,540.63 (or US$ 23.14) at the end of August 2021. One CA or CBshare is worth "a Fistful of Dollars", so to speak.
The list provided below shows a distribution of shareholders according to the number of shares held. The immediate goal is to encourage each shareholder, in various ways, to own at least 10 shares -- and to see the value of owning even more. Indeed, continuous investing will enable us as a collectivity to grow stronger and stronger, and to be consequential participants at the NSE and even elsewhere.
