"Zile Mbili", a Parody of Love by Timmy Tdat feat. Sudi Boy

Zile Mbili is a parody of love relationships by two Kenyans, Timmy Tdat and Sudi Boy -- certainly not the names that their parents gave them. The song doesn't attempt to typify the wide range of such relations, but picks and chooses aspects to poke -- with humor and comedic body texts. It caricatures their obvious diversity, focusing on cash and 'suchlike'.

But the comical voice, and intent, has the effect of masking -- of inadvertently diverting crucial attention away from -- certain components of this music video's high quality, overall. Specifically, these are:

1. The ample serving of musicality that's integral to it.
2. The considerable amount of artistic detail put into the optics, the video art, that go with it.
3. The refined choreography that, in this kind of (ad)venture -- and in this particular case -- makes fine video-art 'actionable' in the first place.

Certainly, the Director's hand and eye put -- have to put -- all these pieces together in the end. And so, due credit to the 'mastercraft' skills of Director Enos Olik.
