Happy People by Klever Jay ft Terry G

Klever Jay and Terry and a few invited friends, including a lumpen-proletarian road-crew, dance here to "Happy People" with all they've got and little else to ask anyone for. They are the very same happy people that the duo sings about, and who we see dancing with abandon. Here, music as hi-theatre. There, dance as purmagic. There's Appy Ness all around, then, in the key of life.

Happy People is a celebration of happiness, though we're not quite told what the reason underpinning the happiness is. The various 'intoit' bodies emit happy and infecting texts toward all that have eyes to see and ears to hear -- for all of 4:06 minutes of magic. This 2015 music video, directed by C.A.R.D.O.S.O, who takes credit for the 'imagery' -- that is, for the surround textuality -- will transport you to whatever happiness den you desire for yourself and yours. Right now.

There's a plenitude of stuff to imbibe and chomp on. You see cheeks bulging with all that there is to eat there. And the vocalists thank Oluwa for the countless moments. The reason for all this merriment is, perhaps purposefully left blank for your imagination to fill in, as you please.

But the happiness is palpable. Perhaps the secret, of this very Nigerian do, is in the lyrics. You be the judge. All I want to say as I wind up is this: we're told that this is a celebration not just of Now, there you are, but of the future ("Twenty years to come") even! That is, year 2035. OK! Oluwa is their witness! So be it.
